Professional Development & Training

Global Pacific offers a range of professional development, continuing education (CE), and compliance training programs to support Independent Insurance and Financial Advisors in maintaining regulatory requirements while continuing to grow their knowledge and practice.

Training opportunities include mandatory annual compliance training, business development webinars, in-person events, professional development sessions, and sales and product training offered from time to time.


Mandatory Annual Compliance Training

Certain training is required annually for all life insurance licensees and advisors contracted with Global Pacific. Completion is monitored and recorded for compliance and audit purposes.

 

Privacy (PIPEDA) Training

Advisors are required to complete Privacy (PIPEDA) Training annually. This training covers advisor obligations related to the collection, use, safeguarding, and disclosure of personal information.

  • Training is delivered through online modules

  • Successful completion of the Privacy Training Quiz is required to obtain confirmation of training

  • Completion is recorded for compliance purposes

Anti-Money Laundering & Anti-Terrorist Financing (AML/ATF) Training

Federal legislation requires AML/ATF training to be completed annually by all persons involved in the life insurance and financial services industry.

  • AML/ATF Training is available in multiple modules

  • A test must be successfully completed to obtain confirmation

  • Completion is required annually and recorded for compliance purposes

Important Reminder:
Privacy (PIPEDA) Training and AML/ATF Training are annual mandatory requirements for all life insurance licensees.


Professional Development & Continuing Education (CE)

In addition to mandatory compliance training, Global Pacific offers ongoing professional development opportunities designed to enhance advisor knowledge, skills, and business practices.

These may include:

  • Webinars and virtual learning sessions

  • In-person training and professional development events

  • Industry updates and topical discussions

  • Case studies and practical business applications

  • Sales concepts and business development strategies

  • Product-specific training offered by carriers from time to time

Some sessions may be accredited for Continuing Education (CE) credits, while others are offered for professional development purposes only.


Registration & Confirmation/CE Certificates

  • Registration for professional development and CE sessions is communicated to advisors by email

  • CE certificates are typically issued electronically after successful completion

  • Certificates may be issued directly by the carrier or, in some cases, by Global Pacific

  • Where certificates are issued by carriers, advisors should monitor email or log in to the carrier’s portal to retrieve them

Licensees are responsible for retaining CE certificates for audit purposes.
