Each week, your participation in the This week with Canada Life call gives us the opportunity to provide you an update on continuing to do business in the current environment, global market commentary and to answer your questions. 

This week, our host Mike Cunneen, Senior Vice-President, Independent Distribution and Wholesaling welcomed back two TWWCL veterans – Jeff Macoun, President and Chief Operating Officer, Canada and Dr. Bruce Empringham, Vice-President and Medical Director. 

As always, Jeff’s commentary was insightful and informative. Despite challenging times, he was quick to list all of the opportunities we’ve been able to act on and the accomplishments that have come from them such as how we’ve done more in the past 13 weeks than we have in the past two or three years in digital and operational enhancements. Jeff also touched upon what Canada Life’s current priorities are and reinforced that keeping our people safe reigns supreme. Dr. Bruce reinforced Jeff’s message of looking out for one another and stressed the importance of communication. Carol Neuss, Assistant Vice-President and Chief Underwriter, shared the exciting news that paramedical services have started to become available in select clinics through Dynacare Insurance Solutions in Saskatchewan with other provinces soon to follow and what this means for your pending and new applications.
