What’s new with Manulife Travel Insurance?

Effective February 13th, 2019, the following enhancements will take effect. Note that there will not be any rate changes for the 2019 season. Please review our flyer for details for each plan.

We are pleased to announce the following enhancements take effect on February 13th , 2019:

Travelling Canadians:

  • Some questions in the medical questionnaire have been changed
  • The deductible amount currency has changed from $U.S to $CAD. This has an impact on the deductible savings which are now between 10% and 35% for Emergency Medical plans only
  • A new wallet card has been added to the policy

Visitors to Canada:

  • A new emergency medical benefit has been added. If you are repatriated or evacuated, we will cover the extra cost to return your travel companion home

Students:

  • New maximum age. Applicants must now be no more than 44 years of age

All brochures will be updated on Repsource, SellHealthPlans and Manulife Travel insurance websites by February 13th, 2019.
