E-Delivery is here for eligible Term and Critical Illness! Does your contract qualify?

Manulife is excited to launch the first phase of E-Delivery: the electronic delivery of insurance contracts to policyholders for eligible Family Term™, Business Term® and Critical Illness (Lifecheque®) contracts submitted via E-Application.

No more wet signatures, no more bulky contracts
Without the need for a wet signature, E-Delivery means faster and more convenient delivery of clients' contracts. Using the same e-signature technology found in the E-Application tool, when clients meet the E-Delivery criteria they can sign their contract anytime for up to 30 days. Additionally, by saving their digital contract to their personal computer within 30 days, there is no need to store paper.

Other than the new electronic format, you and your clients can rest assured that nothing about the contract is changing, including the client’s ability to decline to sign.

 Does your contract qualify?

For the first phase of E-Delivery, contracts must meet the following eligibility criteria to qualify:

Products
Family Term™, Business Term® and Critical Illness (Lifecheque®) submitted on or after March 26, 2018
Insured age
18-60 (16-60 for Quebec only)
Coverage amount

Up to $1 million for Family Term™, Business Term® in total coverage
Up to $1 million for Critical Illness (Lifecheque®) in total coverage
Ownership
Individually-owned policies
Application method
E-Application
Payment method Pre-authorized debit payment only on delivery

 Dual authentication for added client security

To ensure complete confidentiality, clients will be asked to authenticate themselves with both an email address AND mobile number to qualify for electronic delivery. With these measures in place, clients can feel confident about the security of their sensitive information.

 New Business Notifications (NBNs) and E-Delivery

To keep you and your advisors in the loop of the client’s experience during the E-Delivery process, we have created new NBNs, specific to E-Delivery, that include copies of everything Manulife is sending your clients.

 More products to qualify soon

To give you time to get comfortable with the E-Delivery process, we are taking a phased approach before offering E-Delivery for all products. Look out for more communications later this year as E-Delivery becomes available for all new business products, submitted either via paper or E-Application.
