In this edition of Administrative Tips, we talk about the importance of inputting your correct Contract Code on eApps for both Life and Investment client applications.
1. Always email your GP Account Manager to notify Global of your apps submission. Some carriers do not make Global aware of your application received and Global must add it to VirtGate to assist with handling. We may never know you have written new business unless you tell us.
2. For Segfunds, always remember to use your FundServ Rep # Code. If you mistakenly use your Life/Paper code, the unit values will not feed into Global’s VirtGate. On each new client application, if your contract code is inaccurate, Global may never know you submitted the business. If you entered a wrong code, notify Global immediately and we can have it corrected at the carrier.
3. For Life and Living Benefits, always use your accurate Life/Paper Code.

How do I look up my advisor Life/paper contract code with each carrier?
• Login to VirtGate
• Click on the button VirtGate in the left hand bar
• Click Go on Advisor Accounts, Find by Name, Company or Code ► Your advisor records will display ► Advisor records ending in 7, hold contracts we hold with Barrington ► Advisor records with no 7, are contracts hold with Global
• Click on the appropriate advisor account (7 or non-7)
• For Paper/Life: ► Click on Contracts ○ See your paper Contracts code listing for each carrier
How do I look up my Fundserv Representative# Code for each of my advisor records?
For Segfunds:
• On the Advisor information page ► See your Fundserv Representative# Code for that record ► Advisor records ending in 7, hold contracts we hold with Barrington ► Advisor records with no 7, are contracts hold with Global ► Also, see below the code, the Fund Assets $value associated with each of your FundServ Rep# Codes
