Wealth Escalator Plan is a financial strategy that helps your clients who have maximized their RRSP and TFSA contributions to generate larger after-tax estate upon death. By redirecting money from taxable investments to buy a permanent life insurance policy, the proceeds of which could enhance their inheritance.

UP TO $1 MILLION IN LIFE INSURANCE: DO NOT ORDER EVIDENCE OF INSURABILITY FOR PEOPLE AGE 50 AND UNDER

 

As announced earlier this fall, a new life insurance requirements table has been in effect since November 9. It allows most people age 18 to 50 to get $1,000,000 in life insurance with only a statement of insurability and an underwriting phone interview.

We’d like to remind you not to order additional evidence of insurability even if it’s indicated in the Illustration app for these cases. This way we won’t overwhelm our paramedical partners. The Illustration will be updated at a later date.

REMEMBER TO KEEP A SIGNED DELIVERY RECEIPT OF THE POLICY!

 

Even if the policy has been delivered by mail or courrier with a tracking number, you must keep the delivery receipt, signed by the client, in their file. You can also send us a copy.

 

How do you do that?

 

Ask your client to sign the delivery receipt they received with their policy and if necessary, the settling document documents (Notice of modification, Notice of premium payment, etc.). Then ask them to scan them or photograph them in high resolution and send them to you.
