Message from our CEO, Jean-François Chalifoux

Dear distribution partner,

Since its foundation, SSQ Insurance has made the health of its members and customers its main concern. This has never been truer than today, with COVID-19 affecting us all.

We have therefore taken the measures necessary to protect our employees and our customers, as well as all our stakeholders like our distribution partners. We are applying the government guidelines to the letter.

Our services will be maintained
Despite these circumstances, we want to reassure you we are here to serve you and, though more limited, our services are maintained. This is true for our business development teams as well as our new business and service teams.

We understand the importance of speaking to SSQ employees in person in certain circumstances. However, you will notice that our response time is longer than usual. The reason for this is, much like you, our employees are taking the necessary precautions to protect themselves and their families. We do encourage you to use our online platforms and those of your MGA wherever feasible.

We also understand that customers will be looking for reassurance and service from both yourselves and from us, so we will maintain our customer call center services that deal directly with customers calling SSQ Insurance. I have included a letter for your use to forward to any of your clients that are SSQ Insurance customers if you feel it would be helpful.

Finally, I wish to personally assure you that all your clients claims and service requests will be dealt with diligently. We are closely monitoring the situation to act promptly to be able to offer you the best service possible during this difficult time.
