Action required: 2 weeks for changes to HNW client lists
The Mar. 15 deadline to submit changes and updates for the segregated funds potential household lists you received a few weeks ago is fast approaching.
IMPORTANT – Action required:
- Check your list to see if clients we’ve assumed to be a household don’t belong, or don’t want to aggregate assets (i.e. rural routes, family members who have moved away)
- Check your records to see if we’ve missed clients (i.e. corporate assets owned more than 50 per cent by a client and/or in-trust and joint policies where the mailing address for the policy differs from the home address of the client)
o Email HNWquestions@canadalife.com for additions
o Additional households who qualify need to sign and complete the household eligible assets form and other required paperwork
- If you have no changes, please confirm by emailing HNWquestions@canadalife.com that there are no changes so we can update our records accordingly
What’s next:
· In Q2 2016, you’ll receive a list of Canada Life clients holding segregated fund policies on the new platform to be auto-switched into preferred series 1
o The auto-switch date will be announced in advance of the auto-switch itself
· Lists of clients to receive an investment credit, if applicable, will be mailed before the investment credit is paid later this year
