The following are the product highlights of our travel insurance which can fulfil different kinds of client’s needs. There are various untapped sales opportunities in the market. It may be another easy way to further grow the business.
Basically, we have 5 types of travel insurance that you may find sales opportunities.
We have COVID-19 Pandemic Travel, Travelling Canadian, Visitors-to-Canada and Student Travel.
COVID-19 Pandemic Travel is a specialized travel insurance product that provides medical coverage in the event of illness due to COVID-19.
Travelling Canadian is for client goes for a trip outside Canada (no coverage on COVID-19) and they must be covered by MSP.
Travel80 is a multi-year long term travel medical insurance plan that has a $5 million lifetime maximum and is guaranteed renewable every year until clients reach the age of 80.
Visitors-to-Canada is for client comes to Canada for visit, fulfil the Supervisa requirement, or at the 3 months waiting period for the MSP coverage. The COVID-19 is not excluded.
Student Travel is for full-time student study inboard or outboard of Canada.

All of our travel plans include Medical Concierge Services for referral to medical specialists and telephone access to a qualified physician. We also have a mobile app by the name of TravelAid available to find local medical facilities and to start a claim. You or your client can go to App Store or Google Play to download the app or visit: https://itunes.apple.com/ca/app/manulife-travelaid/id1433702714?mt=8 or https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.acm.manulife.travelaid
The TravelAid mobile app can also provide directions to the nearest medical facility, local emergency telephone numbers (such as 911 in North America), and pre- and post-departure travel tips. I think it is a useful and very handy app. This is a great tool that might give your clients, whether they have the travel insurance with us or not, some peace of mind if they knew it existed. Or they just would like to keep it handy for reference. It is a great value add to you and your clients.
In addition, clients can also submit the claims online or they can call directly into our travel assistance centre.
