DISCIPLINE DECISIONS Amarpal Singh Atwal, a former licensee, was disciplined in March 2020, for contravening the Insurance Council’s Rules and Code of Conduct by failing to notify the Insurance Council about personal bankruptcies, and making false statements on applications. Following direction from the Financial Services Tribunal, the Insurance Council has amended its sanction of Mr. Atwal, reducing the length of his licensing prohibition to a minimum of 12 months.
