Investment accounts: a new guarantee option to discover

On September 16, we’re launching a new option to strengthen our investment account offering: the 75/100 Enhanced guarantee.

Two guarantees, more flexibility: your clients can now choose between the 75/100 guarantee and the new 75/100 Enhanced guarantee.

Transfer rules between guarantees

To simplify transfers between guarantees, keep these key rules in mind:

Guarantee option change

Only one change is permitted throughout the entire duration of the contract
Only one guarantee is permitted per application
The maximum application age for the new guarantee must be respected
No transaction fees
Exclusion: Equity Index GIAs will remain in the original contract and will not be transferred to the new one

Fee series option

Transfers can only be made within the same fee series option (e.g., AC3 to AC3)
Transfers between products (segregated funds and investment accounts) are only allowed into the No-load option

How to change the guarantee option

The full amount must be transferred (no partial transfers)
Use the new IND251 form to change the guarantee option

Update to investment account forms

The guarantee must now be selected before choosing the account name and code
Refer to the checklist to see the changes made
